I have a 92’ b17 in my 92’ ls. I swaped intake manifolds with a skunk2 and not using the fitv. It starts and idles at 2k when cold, as it warms up, it bounces from 1300 to 2300. Anyone have any input? or anyone with the same problem?
had that problem with my b17 too, tried a ton of things, it would just keep doing it. It’s getting fully built for boost at the moment, but when i tore it apart, everything was very Filthy, so possibly just needs a very good cleaning. Sorry im not much help.

It only started after i swaped the mani and only does it when its warm.
try cleaning your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). that helped my lumpy idle go away.
vacuum leak, did you use a new throttle body gasket?
I cleaned the iacv and used a new tb gasket. now i just started the car with the intake off. covering the holes in the tb that lead to the iacv. its sucking in too much air. when i cover it it idles at 2k but thats because i messed with other shit. so bad iacv? did i mess it up when i cleaned it?
Have you tried adjusting the Idle Screw on the T/B?
I had a little surging when I replaced my stock mani for an AEBS one and the idle screw resolved it.
my guess is air leak on that skunk2 manifold, get some carb cleaner and spray around that area, and if you feel the rpms go up…theres your leak. if not that, i would say you have a vacuum leak somewhere so check your hoses and make sure their on tight.
when i plug the hole on the inside of the tb the car idles. when i let go it starts surging. thats controled by the iacv am i wrong? can the iacv be adjusted?
