Ok heres the deal, i bought milanogissers TURBO gsr off of the guy he sold it to in chicago, and its got a broken valve. The number 3 intake valve broke off and destroyed the head and block. I cant really find much for a b17 motor or block so im thinking about going b16. My question is…what would i do for an ecu…can i use my P61 with uberdata and dsm 450’s? (basemap right now) its already running rich, but wouldnt the destroking from 1.7 liter to 1.6 liter make it more rich? I am also putting the gsr cams in the b16 head that i buy. Are there any other things that i would have to worry about? Please give me info…
You’re most likely running rich cause the b17 is using a gsr basemap (since b17 support is limited in that area).
Just burn another basemap for the b16 and go with it.
If you dropped a valve then why did the whole motor die? Couldn’t you just replace the bad valves and bad piston? Or did the valve crack up the firing chamber and scratch up the sidewalls?
If your crank is still good I might be interested in buying it.
My ecu is chipped…yea the valve busted the piston in half…as far as that crank goes the blocks not out yet…but the motor turned over fine when it was hooked up so i dont see why it wouldnt be good? Ill take a look at it when i get it out. Also i cant burn basemaps…i know nothing about tuning…i was going to get it tuned by someone or a shop if i could.
