B18A1 keep breaking cylinder head pls help!!!!

motor bone stock.
they changed the Head like FOUR TIMES!
but it always has the same problem.
rocker arms keep breaking.

what could be the problem?
now, im rebuilding the motor top to bottom but i need rocker arm because 5 rocker arms are BROKEN again.

can i use any rocker arm in any Bseries?
i have extra rocker arms from the previous heads

how can i tell the diff between the EX rocker arm to the Int rocker arms.
i’ve looked the manual but it doesn’t say anything.

pls help!

sounds like THEY needs to be changed. Can’t be hard to find any other engine builder. Just take the broken parts to other shops and ask for their opinions and price quotes.

all the rockers are interchangeable just be sure to set the valve clearances

some are broken some are laying around cuz it fell.

You need you a new engine builder

if you live in cali i could sell you a clean 92 b18a1 engine that i just swapped out for a decent price.

2 intake broken rockers again! this was the seventh head!
everything just rebuilt, all bearings new, piston ring, polished crank, oil pump, rebuilt head.
idk whats wrong.

need advice asap pls.

If you have been going to the same engine builder for all 7 builds, then THEY are the problem. If you’ve gone to multiple different places and are still having this issue, its either the parts you are re-using from other damaged motors or you’re ridiculously hard on your motor.

To me it sounds like you keep having the same people work on your stuff, which is more than likely the problem.

^^^ like everyone else said, i would go to someone else, like mentioned before it seems like improper valve lash, i’m thinking they’re not turning the crank while adjusting the different cylinders.

the first 4 heads are done by one of my friend, 2 was done by his friend, one from my other friend. btw this are not all rebuilt head/block. they all gave up.

i had the chance to rebuilt the motor at school.

finally its done BUT! same S*** happened!
BROKEN ROCKER ARMS!

took back to the machine shop.
he said to check my gas tank because in the intake manifold theres a sticky residue.
he also added the that might be causing the rocker arms to go bad due to the valves getting stock in the ports?
might have to change my gas tank?
