hey, i swapped out my 90 teg intake for the 99 integ intake, i used my 90 throtttle on it and plug all those stupid vacuum hoses, i want to know if that is the correct way in doing the intake swap, also i am getting a little coolant leak, am i suppose to remove my 90 tegs intake brackets, because im wandering if this is the case, also after my intake was swapped, my idle goes up and down 1200-1000, 1200-1000…rpms, i plugged all the vacuum hoses to where it needs to be.
plez help me
did you install a new gasket? also some non-oem gaskets need sealant. i used the red rtv high temp silicone
does it surge like that nonstop and pretty fiercely? got a leak in one of the hoses probably… possibly the pcv. i broke the pcv valve tube on the bottom of hte manifold. didnt realize that thing was hard plastic. and after 12 years and being dirty and greasy it was very brittle
i hopefully fixed the coolent leak by changing the hoses and tightening down the intake manifold bolts, since that is done, as for the idleling, it still sucks, and know im getting some oil leaks coming from somewhere, crap man!
if you only changed the intake were is th oil coming from. check the gaskets for leak for the idle.
Try adjusting the little valve on the throttle body above the actual intake hole (well that’s where mine is). You need a flathead and a left or right hand. If that doesn’t work then try something else someone else said. It’s free so might as well try that first.
Peez
alright, i’ll try those out, but i think it might be my valve cover gasket, might have to apply more of that Honda bond on it, as for the idle, i’ll try the adjustments
