Hey… I Dont Know If This Is Even In The Right Place, But I Was Wanting To Know Something… Well, I Have A B18b Thats Sitting In My Old 92 Integra… Hasnt Ran Since Like March Of Last Year… Do You Think The Motor Would Still Be Good After Sitting So Long? I Used Sentech Oil(spelling?) On It… If That Makes Any Difference… And Another Thing… What All Would I Need To Get To Swap Over To Another Da? I Know I Need A New Radiator… Thats All I Know For Now. Im Kinda Just Stumped On This… Thanks.
o ya. that motors still good. when i bought my first da the motor hadnt been started in like 2 years. after a tune up and oil change it started right up.

Ok Sweet… The Motor Only Has Like 70k On It… Let Me Ask You Another Guestion Now… A Dude That Lives Down The Road From Me Said He Will Swap My Motor Out If He Can Have My Old B18a With 160k Miles On It… Is That A Good Deal For Me?
Please hit your cap-lock key on your keyboard, the online community interprets ‘all caps’ as someone yelling at them.
Why are you swapping engines? What’s wrong with the 160K mile B18A? If you are doing the swap to have a lower mile engine, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be in better condition. I would do a compression and leak-down test to assess the condition of your B18A and if it is all good, just sell your other motor or build it up and then swap it in.
For example, my brother in law bought a brand new S10 pickup for a work truck. Well, he never changed the oil and the truck was driven on the freeway in high rpms, it blew up at 15K miles. My engine, B18A, on the other hand, is well taken care of and is in perfect mechanical shape at 290K miles.
B-series Honda’s are an engineering miracle and one of the few engines that will run indefinitely given proper maintenance. There is a B18A with almost a half million miles without a rebuild and still going strong.
oops sorry about the cap locks, i just type sometimes like that.
well i know my other motor is in great shape… i had it in my last car and i changed the oil every 4k miles with castrol sentech. and i never had a problem with it. only problems i have with my now motor and tranny are… small oil leak (im thinking just a cam plug leak) which is no big deal. and the release bearing is going out on my tranny. other then that the engine is strong. i have no camplaints.
well i think if ur neighbor wants to go through all the work of swapping the motor in for u he deserves ur old motor. i mean its better than doing it urself, if u lack the know-how, or paying a shop to do it for u, which would cost an arm and a leg and maybe ur first born lol. my .02

why the heck would you need a new radiator to do your swap is there something wrong with it?
haha yeah… i smashed it all up… the one in my car now it messed up too. leaks alittle. so i just thought i would get a new one. or newer.
