Ok so Im had my swap in since march of 2010 and it just started to leak from the rear breather chamber. Ive already removed it and replaced the o-ring like 3 times and it still leaks, I even added rtv gasket maker onit to seal right. I wouldnt really care if it leaked a lil where it left a small wet spot but this leak has the half shaft covered in oil and the entire oil pan.
I inspected the breather chamber for cracks or leaks but its in good condition, I even checked the hoses and pvc valve. it just leaks from the area that the breather goes in…
Thought it might be that you were using the DA breather chamber on the B18C, but I don’t think it would make much of a difference. USDM Type R takes a 29 x 2.5 o-ring and so does the B18A. Not sure if your B18C is any different from the USDM.
yeah its the stock breather chamber, is there a specific way of putting the chamber back on. Or do I just buy the new Oring and slide it back on or do i use hondabond silicone to seal it.
I head that some people use some type of tape wrapped around the neck to help it seal…
