can anyone tell me the benefit of puttin a b20 head on our stock ls block and if there is any horsepower gains or performance gain that might be worth it
i dont thin a b20 head would fit perfectly on a 1.8 litre block, but i maybe wrong. can any one else help???
b20 head should fit but youl have to use the b18 intake mani. But i dont think you’ll see any gains from this swap unless you have a 90-91, in which you may see 5hp.
The B20 Head will drop right on the B18A/B block. I have seen and done this myslef, so I speak from experiance, not just hearsay. You even use the B18A1 head gasket.
The B20 head will be newer, so you’ve got the relability factor going for you there. It may flow a little better but I don’t know the facts on it. If you’re asking because you can pick one up cheap, I say do it and get some head work done to it. Then drop it on your B18A1. You’ll really enjoy that.
