i am almost done installing my 2000 B20z in to my 1990 gs and i need some info on the themostat housing (not the cover).
It does not have a nipple to except my coolant hose from my
FIT valve(fast idle thermo valve, under the throttle body).
could i use my origanal themostate housing and cover?
what housings are u guys using?
also what did you guys do for the themostat switch—can i use my
origanal switch from my ls block ,and remove the plug in its place
on the b20.
Hmmmm if that’s what i think it is, the guys who did my swap just plugged that hose. I don’t have any problems except a lil coolant leakin out of that plugged hose.
It’s the one that goes from the intake manifold to the block right?
No actually, it goes from the bottom of the throttle body to the
thermostat housing on the b18,but there is no nipple in the b20
thermostat housing to except this hose.
if this is the hose you are talking about, that means your FIT valve
is bypassed----if so how does it idle on startups??
alos where is your temperature switch sensor–in the block,or the
thermostat cover?
