B20 swap- code 8 for TDC- looking for ideas

SO my b20 was in my other integra and after some time I dropped it in my new one. The wiring was correct and I am just wondering if it came loose or this is another issue. After I started the motor the TDC code 8 came up immediately. I drove it anyway and the motor is strong. Feels too good to be having an issue, but im not really sure. Would anyone know if the wiring change you do for the b20 swap could do this?

When I pulled out the motor, I did change the timing belt among seals, water pump, clutch, and tranny.

Well is the car running the obd0 or obd1, did you use a jumper and make the car obd2? If your throwing the code reset the computer and drive again. If it comes back you need a §§§§§ if your running obd0 or obd1. If it doesn’t then keep on keepin on. Also check wiring cause sometimes when messing with swap wires can come loose, get pinched, or crossed somewhere. Good luck to ya!

i somehow must have a pinched wire or crossed. the ecu on both cars are obd0. no jumper so thats not it. this motor worked in my other car fine and i just swapped it in another integra. during the swap the wire must have came undone.

the temp unit is a green wire and black wire. it is routed back to by the oil filter, whatever sensor that is. spliced to a red w/ white stripe wire and green wire. i need to check them if anyone has that info.

ive been looking on the threads http://forums.g2ic.com/showthread.php?195576-WRITE-UP-JDM-B20b-into-92-93-LS and the ones on HT. none seem unhelpful.

the car really runs strong. i possibly should take of the distributor and check the wires. 2 other issuse with the swap. Reverse lights dont work, need to check them. and the fan doesnt cut on, i think thats due to the oil temp wiring.

yep. reverse lights not working is cuz of a broke wire at the plug. i will have to get another plug. i hope i dont loose to much tranny fluid installing it.

does anyone know the correct wiring for the LS to B20 swap on the sensor?

Yeah I would say your TDC sensor in the distributor is bad. That is where the sensor is located and it can not be replaced. Parts do funny things. Put a multi meter on it and im sure you can find out what is going on. Also like someone said. Check the wire to the ECU.
