hi i was wondering if anyone knows if the b20 head will fit on the ls block???
is the b18b1 head the same size as the b20b head since tey so much alike???
ive heard of it being done but im not sure exactly what the dimensions are for the b20 head and what modifications need to be made in order for it to work… so u might wanna do some searching if ur gonna do that swap but it can be done…
-Q
yea i ve been wondering alot becasue i jus recently purchased a 92 integra that was said to having this set up but to me it looks like a complete b18b1 swap out of a 96 integra? the previous owner told me he put a b20 head on the b18b1 block or something like that …is it possible?
im not 100% sure, but it will probably not benefit u at all by putting a B20 head on a LS.
yes u can put a B20 head on a LS block. U have to use a B20 headgasket since the bores betrween the B18 and B20 are different. The B18 has a 81mm bore nad B20 has a 84mm so the B20 head on a B18 block is gonna lower compression since the combustion chambers are 4mm larger than the cylinders
TONS of misinformation here.
The B20 head (* NON P8R) is essentially THE SAME as any '94 up LS head.
ooo i c now than tahnx for the info!
thank you, it’s good to know someone else knows their shit regarding b20’s
most of the b20 heads are p75
with the p8r being the exception
so just making sure if i but the b20 head on my ls block …it will lower the compression… which will be better for a turbo setup
