So I was reading up the b20b swap guide in a old thread, and some people are having to rewire to the thermo housing, my block doesn’t have those 2 posts on the back. If it matters I have the b20b the 9.6:1 compression motor. So I went to a local junkyard found a thermo housing off a 92-93 teg took out the b20 obd2 thermo housing and threw the obd1 92-93 integra thermo housing, will that solve my issue of having to rewire anything? Car is a 93 RS btw.
Hmm I’m interested in this too since I plan on doing this swap as well.
What do you mean re-wire the thermo housing?
Are you saying the B20 housing doesn’t have the two threaded holes for the engine-harness ground to connect to?
If that is the case, a ground is a ground… there are plenty of other places in that area that should be suitable for a ground.

kinda hard to explain with no pictures lol, I was just reading this thread and was trying to get the jist of what they were talking about.
On my swap, I ran into the issue of the lack of coolant outlets on the thermostat housing. I ended up using the housing from a b18a1 for my swap.
That makes more sense…
The term “rewire” keeps getting thrown around this thread like there is actual WIRING that isn’t matching up.
Coolant flow is not exactly “wiring” lol.
on my b20 swap I used the b20 Housing and the sensor I found a plug at the junk yard off a old civic the wires was the same colors as the ones on my car it worked fine…
