B20b/z?

what exactly is the B20B/Z engine and if it fits in our cars is it worth it?? i can get 1 for $800

also if that doesn’t fit or something would it be worth $450 to get a B16A Sir longblock with 160 Hp 111Trq 10.2 Compression?

The USDM B20B/Z came from the CR-V

Some USDM specs:

B20B: 126hp @ 5400
133tq @ 4300
8.8:1 compression

B20Z: 146hp @ 6200
133tq @ 4500
9.6:1 compression

There are debates on the JDM b20b about it’s compression so i wouldn’t go there :p.

I’ve seen B20s for as low as 900, look around for deals. I got mine from importautosalvage.com. You can also look at www.hondamotorsonline.com

For me, it’s very much worth it :wink:

Thanks for the link. I just orderd B20b, at the same price. Gonna get some head work done and change the pistons and do some balancing and call it done.

Where are you going to get the balancing and bottem end stuff done? I’m going to do the same thing. I just want the engine done, then when I get more money I’ll stip it again and throw more stuff in there.

My friends just opened up a shop in Union City called Open Loop Motorsports. I’m sending the head out and they are going to do the bottom end and install.
