im getting a b20z swap, its been in the shop for a while [3 weeks]. im also getting axles and ball joints. n e way its got the low i.m and he was still trying to swap my old one in, i told him i preffered the b20 inake. idk if hes gonna use it but now hes talking about switching my fuel rail and injectors. when i bought the engine the guy told me all i had to do was swap in my distributer. its a 93 da9. does n e body know whats going on why hes trying to do that and does he know what hes talking about? also should i remove the resonator box if he does fit the low im in? oh yea also getting a manual steering rack put in i bought a 92-95 civic rack. i have to take that back for the 88-91 rack getting a full refund on the return from buyautoparts.com.
The fuel rail and injectors are going to be the exact same flow-rate. Doesn’t matter which one is used, and it shouldn’t run your bill up even if he did swap them over… takes a whole 5 minutes to swap a fuel rail and injectors.
thanks alot realy eases my mind
Now that I think about it the B20 injectors are going to be OBD2 and they will not plug into your factory wiring harness. That’s the same reason you have to use the Integra distributor.
You’ll have to run your stock LS injectors. Though as I said, the fuel rail and injectors are all going to flow the same, provided your stock ones aren’t all crusty and tore up.
Worst case, send them out to get cleaned up and you’re good to go.
cool man thanks again, do you happen to know about the low rise mani? should i take off the box and plug the hole thats what everybody else does right, does it make it run better?
The b20z doesn’t have the really tall manifold that won fit under the hood? The manifold on the b20b was HUGE and would never fit under the hood. I just used the LS manifold.
I swapped a b20b in my teg and didnt swap that box over with it. Dont remember plugging anything, there jsut wasnt a place for it.
i ordered a jdm b20b high comp came with the low mani. i heard they got a lil more flow than the ls motors n e way i think imma remove the box and plug that lil hole thats what everyone else does. i dont think it will fit under a carcon hood though
