That’s normal… with my B16 ys1… i was at 4500 at 80mph
My second gear ends around 50 if that helps. My friend said he has a gsr tranny and he rides 80 at 4k in 5th gear.
It seems like the gears are short. But im used to driving a 97 mirage around. Its got sone long gears. 2nd ends at 70
And yes im getting rid of the fart can as soon as i get money to weld a stocker back up.
every 1.6l trany 1gear at 60khm 2gear at 120khm 3gear 160khm . this is for standart jdm gear boxes like my zx soch and civic typerR etc . tested stuf

Got the a stock muffler welded on. Its so much quieter. I can actually feel the power instead of looking for cops. Lol
Sad news is that im now throwing a code 43 fuel system or something. I can feel it lag at lower rpms and low throttle. I heard its an o2 sensor any other thaughts?
yes and different final drive’s also but you don’t notice much of a difference when driving with them compared to a vtec trans.

If your tranny says YS1 and the fifth gear is at almost 4k at 80mph, that’s just a regular LS tranny from a 92-93. If you’re revving at 4k in first and you’re only at 15, you might have a variation of short geared tranny with a LS fifth gear.
It is stamped s1 and its from 90 91 since thats what i ordered my clutch for
and yes i replaced the fuel filter. Non oem though
car runs stong as 147 galloping horses. lol the check engine light still comes on randomly but still drives good.
