My previous time was 16.3 stock 91 LS
Today i wanted to go a lot lower. Still nothing butnow i have CAI. My 60’s sucked so bad, i need help on my 60 now…THis is my best time Vs. Celica GTS (I/E)
those times are BAD for a stock 91 LS.
what was your tire pressure at???
what were you launching at???
where were you shifting???
i’d say work on your launches the most.
Dont know about pressure…maybe 30-32, the tread is pretty low (5)on the BF’s Ill rotate the tires (they are brand new on the back) and try again next week.
First time i launched at 2400, Second time was 3000
I shift at 6500(3rd) 6600(1st and 2nd) (limiter is around 6700)
Most def the launches. I was damn good, but i think its the tire tread keeping me back and finding my launch zone…im thinking 2500-2800
Your times are better than the kid in TI who supercharged his G3 (auto) so don’t feel bad. Granted he hasn’t done any tuning yet, but still. Hope you had fun anyway. I’d be glad to just break 18 without blowing anything up. See you on 5/8 hopefully and you can tell me about it.
theres a calculation someone came up with where you just divide by 1400. i.e. 1400/16(s) = 84(mph), or 1400/84 = 16ET. car and driver recently updated that number to 1350, so 1350/84 = 16.0. 1350/16.3 = 82.8mph.
I’m impressed youre out at the strip at all. I’d love to go, but i never make the time. As far as reducing times, the launch practice is a big one, but i’ve also read that if you have a friend out there with you, and have him/her wear a really bright annoying shirt, you concentrate on your friend in the ugly shirt instead of the lights. practice and races feel the same, no matter what strip your at or what class of lights youre on. just a thought.
