Hey whats up. Ive posted in the other forums but never this one, (never had any body problems, Anyway here goes… i own a 90 Da. Im the first owner to never garage the car:wtf: i Know I Know. When it rains real heavy i have the ugliest amount of water in the spare tire area. Its not a big deal because the entire interior is stripped but i dont want the water in my car, is it my hatch seal or is the weatherstripping around the car going bad?
i got the same problem. however mine leaks from the plug thats plugging the antenna hole. previous owner just stuck a plug in there but its not sealed properly. it can also be your tail light gaskets. maybe you should try and check where its leaking from?
Mine was the sunroof drain tubes… they run to the rear wheel wells and can often come out of the tubing that leads them to the wheel wells and just start pouring water into your trunk… there’s one on each side of the car if i’m not mistaken… mine was the one on the drivers side just behind the power antenna assembly… search for trunk leak… there’s a ton of posts on it…
I have to say, mine has bad hatch seals/weather stripping. I avoided this problem when it leaked the first time around. I avoided it becuz it only happens when there is ALOT of rain. And here in HI we’ve been getting showers lately, and I would check my trunk and no water. However while I was at school today it rained hard off and on and I found water in my trunk. It happened to be my weather stripping and hatchseals. I’ll probably go and get it fixed at a shop.
