ball joint grease is drying up

anyone know a decent brand of grease for ball joints or what honda actually uses? i’ve replaced my adjustable joints twice, once cause crappy non oem boots, again because the valvoline joint grease just turned to dust inside the boot. the factory control arms are still as greasy as they were in 93 so where can i find this stuff?

you can pickup chassis grease at any auto part store.

I don’t think the integras have grease fittings.

You don’t need grease fittings to grease a ball joint… just pull down the boot and put grease inside and close it back up.

i used the stuff from autozone and it turned to dust and killed the joint which is kinda scary since i put the stuff in my rack and axle also…

i just pop the joint with a pitman tool and fill the boot up with grease. i really just want to know if theres some good grease out there like the honda oem stuff

He would just be better off getting a new balljoint if all the grease dried up inj the old 1.

Gett some Royal Purple chassis grease: http://www.royalpurple.com/ultra-performance-grease.html

If you are looking for OEM stuff call a dealership, they might sell it for a hefty $.

I am curious about the Valvoline that you used. Was it full synthetic, a synthetic blend or the cheap stuff? I’ve had good results with the full synthetic SynPower from them.
