My battery light is kind of blinking. Is this an alternator problem? I’ve only seen this light ever come on and pretty much stay on.

wzup boss…check your battery with the car off with a voltmeter. It should read around 12 volts. then, turn the car on and recheck the battery with the voltmeter. It should around 14-14.5 volts…
if your battery light is on, chances are you’re alternator is dying and needs to be replaced, have it checked out and replaced ASAP before it drains ur battery!
Had the same problem while back. Before i knew it my car shut off on the parkway…
Replace the alternator before its too late…
Yup, my battery light went on yesterday morning… By the end of the day my car just died on me…(when i first got the car i heard a strange electrical noise comming from that area, i thought it was just a rattling…)
Now i gotta question… my friend has a GS motor in his garage… i took out his alternator and tried to swap it with the one on my car…
i got my alternator loose from the two bolts… how do i take it out? Disconnect my driver side axle? and then the A\C belt is in the way… how do i remove the A\C belt?
need some help ASAP cuz i have to get it back on the road by monday… tnx
how much is it for an alternator cuz mine just died on me
The Haynes manual method for removing the alternator is to remove the driver side axle, but if you search people here have claimed to pull it out without doing that. The AC belt is tensioned by a tensioner - it is probably very hard to reach with the PS pump on. There is a bolt you adjust it with, which has a jamb nut, and there is a bolt through the center of the arm of the tensioner that holds it.
My alternator cost like $150 I think.
