Hey guys, I just started dissassembling my project '95 LS head, and after removing all of the cam bearings, I had 3 of dowells still stuck in the head. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with that to give me a clever idea of how to remove them. The metal seems very soft, so I figure theres no way to remove them without damaging them, and I figure they are probably not too expensive? TIA
put a rag over the barrel then take a pair of channel locks and twist em out. if you bend it a lil you can always just bend it back.

You sendin it out for head work if so dont worry about it. there not going to be in the way of anything…if they are then the machine shop will take em out…
The head is getting ported and the whole bit whenever I feel like it, I want the satisfaction of taking it apart completely before bringing it… Don’t ask…
