beeping cluster(unplugged Seat belt alarm)

okay i’ve searched and only came out with the seat belt alarm beeping.i have unplugged the seat belt computer from the passenger kick panel.but the beeping still there.it just does it once in a whiile but i cant seem to find the problem.can it it be a warning light from a sensor.
any help will be appreciated.
thanx

The beeper for the seat belt is located inside the Seat belt module. If you unplugged it, then trust me, it is NOT beeping, (If it is unplugged, and it is still beeping, then remove it from the vehicle immediately and take it to the nearest priest) :wtf:

Are you sure it’s not something else (Key in the ignition beep, Headlight reminder beep, etc.

I’d start with looking at you driver door pin switch and wiring.

i pretty sure its unplugged.i know when the head light beeping is on.they sound different.i guess i’ll just keep looking for a solution.thanx though

theres two plugs on that module right? they ARE both unplugged correct?..I took my module out and broke that damn speaker inside it…so much more peaceful now

You should be able to tell us where the beep is coming from. If someone on here can identify the source and the repetition they can probably tell you what it more than likely is. Not me, cause I don’t have a fucking clue. I tore my box out a long time ago and haven’t heard a peep since. Fucking thing doesn’t shut up. Using the stock lap belt mount point for a harness seems to irritate it as well. So touchy.

yea both of them are unplugged.well i’ll just remove the whole module just to be sure.does the cluster have a speaker in iT?

I believe the ICM may have a beeper as well, and sometimes this module goes haywire. I had one go bad on me and stuff just started acting weird. For instance the int wipers didn’t function properly neither did the “door open w/ key in ignition” warning beep. I know that the ICM does a bunch of little stuff, so if it’s going bad it could potentially have a handful of symptoms.

oooo.is that the one inside the distributor??i searched and all i can find is the one inside the distributor.is it hard to replace??

the constant beeping may be coming from the icu. if i remember correctly it’s someplace behind the fuses inside the car (down by your feet) and hard as hell to get to. good luck

okay.well the beeping just comes out of nowhere.i can be driving and the beeping will start or i can just have the key turned and it would start beeping sometimes.

beeping

The same thing drove me nuts as well. on my 93 went under the hood and started pulling fuses. there are no more than ten or so there. passengers side mounted on the strut tower. its a ten amp fuse and that stopped it. not linked to anything else i can find on the car. my seatbelts are locked back by my head auto does not work. oh and i kicked mine in the door first before i found the fuse you can try that if your into the ritualistic side of mechanics:rockon:.

it was driving me crazy also…i ended up finding out that all it was, that the plugs under each seat…one of them was unplugged…put it back in no beeping since

My Car Only Beeps For:
Seatbelt
Headlights
Key In Ignition
And When Door Is Open (somtimes It Gets Stuck)
Idk??

Okay, sorry to bring this back up, but I am having the same problem. My car will RANDOMLY start beeping at me… just BEEP… BEEP… BEEP… It’s the seat belt warning sound, not the headlight chime.

So I should check to see if plugs are disconnected under my seat? Or has anybody actually traced this down to find out the source of this strange problem.

One more little bit of information. At the same time this beeping started showing up, was the same day my ALARM lights stopped flashing when I armed/disarmed my alarm. This is the first I’ve really looked into any solution, but if anybody has some ideas, lets hear em!
