I searched but really couldn’t find anyone who had the exact problem I’m having.
Lately I’ve been hearing a completely random beeping coming from the belt control module on the passenger side floor board. I can’t figure out what the problem is, and it isn’t exactly throwing a code or something. No lights on the dash, no lights on the ECU, just a lot of headache driving to and from work.
It really is 100% random and there isn’t any pattern.
I’m 99 % its your ICU. NOT ECU. Its a small box behind the fuse box. I never heard it beep where you described though. Usually you’ll hear the beep on the drivers side kick panel. Very randomly too. Very common problem on our cars.
its your seatbelt computer making the beeping…behind the passenger kick panel. I’m having the same problem it’s beeping because something is wrong with the seatbelt system.
Its the switch inside the belt it self or the switch inside the panel where the belt motor is. Its the beep you here when your not wearing the belt right? Also look under the seat it self and check to see if the wire is loose.
Yes. the connection on the side of the seat. When that connector is removed the beep goes off. And that beep is coming from the control module which is down below the passenger side kick panel. ( the beeping you described)
So that connection is probably loose giving you random/intermittent beeping. Let us know.
Alright so it’s been about a month and the beeping had stopped on it’s own for awhile but it recently started back up.
I unplugged the connectors from the seat belt control module and just left my shoulder straps in the locked position. No big deal.
However, now I hear it beeping from what I’m guessing is the ICU. I have zero knowledge or know-how on fixing stuff like this, so I’m probably just going to shell out the $200 to fix it.
If I don’t do that, I’m pretty sure you’ll hear a story in the news about a black 92 integra careening off a cliff in the Northen Maryland area pretty soon.
