Picked up some JDM side moldings and well the longer ones that go on the door and pretty bent, almost as if they had been folded in half.
Anyone had this problem or know of any way to straiten them?
Bend it back straight as you can then use some type of filler to fill in the creased part then sand it down smooth… and then paint? That’s the only thing I can think of…:read:
mine bent too on passneger side… came like that, cudnt really do much mine not totally noticable but this year when i repaint my teg with water based paint. im going to get a body shop to fix it best they can… i cant wait for next spring
use a heat gun and get it kinda warm (don’t melt the darn thing), then flatten it out, then place some really long 2x4’s or something, make sure it stays on steady and holds it down flat. that should work. cuz that can be done to lips too.

^^ yep yep i agree. you can do this to any plastic on a car, just be careful not to burn it
