basically what the title says, i just receive my parts from acura automotive parts. one was a pcv valve and i’m wondering for those who have replaced it, whats the easiest way to remove without breaking the old pcv valve.
who cares if you break it? well mine was on pretty tight and i did end up breaking it. i guess you can just keep gently twisting at it for an hour if it doesnt come out easily… wait till you find out what happens when youbreak that stupid tube underneath (dont worry it wont happen unless you take out the manifold)
i used long nose pliers and loosened the bolts to the fuel rail to move it out of the way to get a good angle and grip. just open the gas tank to relieve pressure and put rags underneath the fuel rail and injectors. try not to separate the injectors to the fuel rail so not a lot of gas drips.
took me 30 sec. of wiggling and at the same time rotational motion. voila it’s out.
Is there any easier way?

He, He… I think Neil (NFULFX) would disagree with you on that one!!! LOL
The PCV Valves do commonly break (if they have not been changed in a long time) They become crispy and when you try to pull it out, half of it ends up stuck in the hole. It is a Pain to get the piece out.
This happened to Neil, and in the process of trying to get it out, he broke the hose you are talking about. I don’t even know if he ever got it fixed… He was pi$$ed!!! LOL
Mine broke also, but I was able to thread a big screw into the part that was stuck in the hole and yank it out.
David is right. :argh: :argh:
I had a lot of trouble getting mine out also. It broke, but I was able to fish out the bottom of it without too much damage to the hose. GOOD LUCK!
I broke both my pcv valve 90 degree tube on top, and the bottom tube that connects to the breather box. Had to remove the fuel lines and tubes to get to that tubing and replaced it all. The tubes from honda are pretty pricey too, 40-50 bux for it all.
I was lucky i have small hands and my hands fit in between the runners and the side of the intake manifold…or else i woulda have had to take off the intake manifold.
Ibroke the tube underneath as well. first I gued it together and put it back together. I did that until I could get a new one. I ordered it from acuraautomotveparts.net. Talkabout a big fuken pain in the ass that was. I will definetly be more gentle with that on next time.
