best prices right now

I have to do a bunch of work to my LS by the end of August. Mostly for inspection (by 8/31), but I am also supposed to race in NY labor day weekend.

Unfortunately I am on a limited budget.

Here is what I need:

-Ball joints. I do not even know what the best is to buy, only one side is bad, but I will replace all 4.

-Shocks. I am putting on H&R -1.8" springs. I guess from research I want tokico blues, but I am open to suggestions for bang for the buck.

-Wheels/tires. I really want white 16" subzero rotas and azeina Rs, but have no idea where to look for a good price, much less what a good price would be. EDIT: I have NO IDEA about offset too?!? I am in New England and have 14" snow tires for my stock rims so I want the best deal on summer only tires.

-catalitic converter. I have ordered a 2.25" dynomax ultraflow ss muffler, but my cat will not pass and want a freeflow to match. I do not have the $ for headers but they will be in the mix sometime. Magnaflow at the local shop is $100, I’d like to beat that.

I turned 97k miles on a white on white '91 LSS today and want it to be a sexay bitch when I am done. As mentioned though I am not made of money.

This should probably be in Product Reviews / What To Buy?.

OEM parts are your best bet for long life, and you can get descent prices at www.acuraautomotiveparts.org. On the other hand you want to drop 1.8" so you may want to kill 2 birds with one stone and get ball joint camber kits. Look into SPC or Ingalls. Chances are with a 1.8" drop you may want SOME small camber adjustment available to you.

For your shocks, just be aware that Tokico Blues don’t have the best track record on cars with more than 1.5" drop. Don’t get me wrong they are good struts, and I have had a set for more than 6yrs, but there are a lot of guys that complain about blown Blues. You may want to look into some KYB struts. I have never used them, but have seen numerous threads talking about H&R + KYB.

Never looked for Rotas, but for tires (and maybe those wheels) you can go to www.tires.com, www.tirerack.com, www.1010tires.com, and of course www.google.com. You will want a 16x7 with a 35 to 42 offset.

For your high flow cat, $100 is pretty good. Otherwise look up SMSP and give Dave a call. www.sms-products.com

Thanks for the links.

Maybe Neal or whomever can move this for me.
