Best Spark plug for a B17A?

I’m having trouble finding plugs for my GSR. Everything I find is just platinum. Any recommendations? What about iridium plugs?

well platinum is normally what everyone uses. forgot the # for them. but i use denso iridiums. use what ever u think is good for the car or what temp. your car needs.

Platinums are NOT worth the money. Run a simple NGK BKR6E-11. If you’re running higher compression, think about a colder plug like the BRK7E-11. Cost about $6 for four plugs and need to be replaced about every 15,000 miles.

What is the difference between the NGK BKR6E-11 and NGK - BCPR6E-11.

Cause Im running the NGK BKR6E-11 in my B17.

I get them from NAPA for like $1.50 each.

The BCPR6E-11 is about 2mm taller (on the top side) than the BKR6E-11. So basically the only difference is that with the BCPR6E-11 your spark plug wire won’t sit all the way down on your valve cover. It will stick up a bit unlike the BRK6E-11 which will allow the spark plug wire to sit like it should. Not a big deal really.

unless **** gets inside there.

Kool thanks for the info! How did you know that BTW? Other than the fact that you are THE G2Guru.:stuck_out_tongue:

Im glad Im not running some krazy azz plug that is not supposed to be in there, cause I got the # here.

No problem. This information I found out from experience. That and NGK has a break down of the spark plug codes.
