best way to clean engine bay

what is it? chemicals, rags, pressure washers…

whats the best method?

i use Super clean and my Pressure Washer on Low setting, and then use a polish like tire shine on my hoses and plastic doo dads lol, just try not to hit your mayjor electronics and etc

Well… if you want to keep it simple, just use soap and water. Take your battery out (not necessary), hose the bay down making sure you don’t go crazy on the valve cover, distributor and alternator. Then lather it up with soap and use a sponge to get in all the nooks and crannies of the bay. When done, hose everything off. If your bay is crazy dirty I’d do this a few times before wasting money on detailing products for your bay since it’ll come off again when you reclean it.

You won’t have a perfectly clean bay after your first wash, so just keep that in mind.

I believe your car was at honda day ?

I had about 10 years worth of dried on wax all over my bay and i used “GOOGONE” and it worked nice. I then used a spray wax and black magic for all the hose’s and black parts.

that is one beautiful clean stock gsr:)

soap, rag, patience.

sucks for me cause I’m always going off road to the dirt. every weekend or so.

It was me… Here are two shots from Honda day…

WD40 and Rag
