BF Goodrich g-Force Sport vs. Kumho Ecsta Supra 712

what about the nitto neogen’s?

I haven’t heard anything bad about them, but then again, I haven’t heard anything good about them either. Everyone I race with that’s tried the Nitto 555s say’s they’re absolute crap, if that says anything about the company as a whole.

they are not a well know brand or an excellent brand is what im syaing u shit head :giggle:

Also what about the falken ziex 512’s? I havent heard anything about them… Good price. The regular BFgood. g-force tire is only showing to be for a 7.5" rim.

Dude… THEY’RE A BRIDGESTONE TIRE. What do you not understand about that?

You can mount a 205 on a 7" wide wheel. The 512’s are a good street tire. I almost bought those instead of my Fuzions.

what about the BF Goodrich G-Force Sport? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+Sport&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=045ZR6GFSP&fromCompare1=yes

Which tire do you think would be better, those or the 512’s that I can get for less than $290 shipped or the BFgoods I can get for $314 shipped? Im looking for a good tire with great traction only for summer time (could be all seasons if it has to be).

The Tire Rack Rep I talked to said he didn’t know too much about the BF Goodrich, but that they were loud and not as good as the Fuzion.

Really…call Tire Rack. You’ll get all your questions answered.

I was looking into the 512’s and found out that they are only 6.9" across the tread, while the Parada Spec 2’s are 7.6". Thats .7" of an inch difference!

ended up getting the bfgoodrich g-force sports. Got them for $310 shipped from www.discounttiredirect.com, not a bad deal.

I don’t know why you dislike the Yokohama AVS ES100’s? I have driven on the fuzion ZRI’s and the es100s, and nitto nt450s, and the es100’s outperformed all of them. Way better handling, and i did not think the noise was as bad as everyone states. 205-50-15 was what i had with all 3 of the tires, and es100s performaed far better!

Josh

I’ve driven on:

Yokohama ES100 195/50/15
Yokohama Parada Spec 2’s 205/45/16
Yokohama Avid H4 (the old version) 195/60/14 (i think)

Holy shit… that’s a lot of yokohama. :giggle:

Anyways, the avid h4’s suck compared to the rest. They’re an all season tire and the others are high performance summer tires. Side walls are very wobbley. The H4’s would be good if you don’t do any kind of spirited driving, though they are kind of pricey for what they are.

ES100’s gripped very well in dry and very well in wet. Though they only lasted me 1 year. They were great off the shelf, however, once the tread got a bit lower, they started slipping quite a bit. Noise on the es100’s wasn’t too bad. It was loud, but not super loud. Also, side walls on these tires were quite stiff.

I just recently purchased the parada spec 2’s. So far, they’re amazing tires in the dry, but suck ass when it’s wet. I can’t push the car nearly as hard as i can when it’s dry. The car slips and slides around pretty bad in the rain. Though I haven’t had a chance to try these on the highway during heavy rain yet. These tires are NOISEY! It doesn’t bother me though, it’s a small price to pay for a great dry handling tire. Oh, and the tread design is really cool. That’s a plus

I just recently bought the Falken Ziex 512’s. The tires are really quiet and grip quite well. I just bought them recently, so i haven’t had a chance to drive them in the rain. I’ve had Kumhos, Yokos, and Nittos on my car in the past. I can’t remember which ones i had exactly. But i remember i had the Nitto 450’s and they sucked so much ass. No grip whatsoever, i was happier with the Kumhos and Yokos. But tires aren’t all that cheap, so whatever fits your budget.

If you want quiet tires, get some cheap ass granny ones from Wal-Mart. The BFG aren’t that loud at all, if you haven’t driven on them, STFU. Screw what the representatives tell you over the phone, all they want to do is sell you the tires, no matter how sincere they sound over the phone, unless you know them personally.

For the fact, I had driven on Dunlop FM901 for a few years, those were great in the dry, but the sidewalls are quite soft and they are not as good as the ES100 in the wet. The worst part, they are freakin’ loud!! I’m now riding on BFG G-Force Sport and i like them a lot, pretty good grip in the dry and significantly stiffer sidewall. And they are much much quieter compared to the FM901.

We just put bfgoodrich g-force sports on my wife’s celica. They are slightly more noisy than the stock tires were (I forget what came stock on the 03’ celica), but handle much better, and are decent in the rain too. For the price they get my vote, but I’m going to have to try the Fuzions now to compare.

So I just ordered the fuzions to put on the fat fives I picked up the other day. At worst they are still going to be better then the cheap all season tires I have on my stock wheels and they were 300 shipped, which is worlds better then anything comparable ntb and discount had. I will tell you guys what I think of them sometime this week after I get my rear alignment done.

I’d like to see some more information on the Falken tires… I have seen some pretty impressive driving from several types of platforms wearing theses shoes…

Tires

I owned the kumho for my first set of tires and the front tires steel belting broke. I just bought the G-force sports and they have awesome traction just had the chance to run them in the rain and they performed great. I would highly recomend buying the BF goodrich over the kumho.
