Hello, I have been searching for some that has done the big 3 upgrade to their DA with no luck. So I am here asking if anyone has any info on this to help me out. What I really need to know is the power wire coming off the positive battery post to the fuse box on the strut tower is that going to the alternator or what does it go to? Any help on this would be awesome. If there is any gain from this I will do a write up and take pics plus post my gains.
I’ve upgraded the charging and ground on a couple of my cars. Did it originally because my headlights would dim at low rpm. Seemed to help a little but nothing too drastic.
Battery positive runs to the starter and to the fuse box. The other wire at the fuse box goes into the engine harness and is connected to the alternator. When the car is off the battery feeds power to the fuse box. When the car is running the alternator feeds power to the fuse box and in turn charges the battery. Although it may seem intimidating you can setup this system in many different configurations and I’ve had at least 3 different layouts on my car. All setup differently for different battery locations and different priorities (audio vs race).
It’s pretty simple stuff but like if you have any questions I might be able to answer.

I am setting it up for better audio and over all faster charging, more stable power to assorted and better ground, do you have a pic or any thing that will help me out?
What pics would you be looking for? There’s really not much to see since most of these components are hidden. The only thing I can think of that I have pics of at the moment is my positive battery cable and how it’s routed between the fuse box, starter and battery. But my battery is a small race battery mounted below where the stock battery is, so I’m not sure if that’s helpful or not.
My main thing is the fuse box which wire can I delete? Does the power go from the alt to the fuse box or directly to the battery
Why do you want to “delete” one of the fuse box wires?
My first post mentioned where the power comes from:

The two terminals at the fuse box are connected to each other inside the fuse box so you don’t have to have 2 wires connected to the fuse box. But if you remove one you need to make sure you create another connection between the battery and alternator otherwise the battery won’t charge.
If you draw a simple diagram I can help you sort out the details and let you know if what you’re trying will work or if it needs to be changed.
