Ok so my Da9 decides to shut off and im not sure what the problem is. First its usually when taking off, firs engien light comes on and it sputers and it dies then whe I turn the Key it turns over but it doesnt run. I have to hold the gas pedle down and it will take a while but it wil PUT PUT PUT slowly until it gets up to about 2,500-RPMs and thats with me still holding the gass all the way down then it will rev up like nothing and Im able to run for a while its happende before. Its getting spark on wires because I tested that and I know its getting fuil because that all you smell when its PUT PUT PUT-ing lol so I’m not even sure I wanna say ECU but I wanna see what fed back I can get back let me know some one. Check your fuel main relay. Fuel pump its most likely the fuel main.
Alright I’ll get to that asap and no body has touched the car it still had the 5 star wheels when I got it so I’m sure it never had anything installed in it I’m only the 3rd owner so there’s probably a million mor problems to come.
As mentioned it sounds like a fuel problem, the first thing I would do is replace the fuel filter and at the same time install a fuel pressure gauge.
If you do not know when the fuel filter was last replaced, it needs to be done anyway.
Once the filter is replaced you will need to check fuel pressure, a permanently mounted gauge will give you that info and be a very good diagnostic tool in the future.
If it turns out the fuel pressure is low you will need to check the PGM-FI Main Relay for proper operation and if good, replace the fuel pump. 94
See I had replaced the fuel filter about a year ago when it was spudering a bit but it never shot off. Now the last time the car cut off on me and I tried to start it it sound it as if the motor was seized up but I tired it again and it turned, then when it finally came on it ran good exept for the loud back fire that sounded like gun shots. I was thinking I wasnt geting any fuel but when its turning over and its spuding or wtv all u see is grey almost white smoke coming out the exhauste and its nun but gass. I can turn the key and hear the fuel pump working how its supposed to and also I tuck the spark plus out and they also where grey almost white. I was thinking about an Air/Fuel gauge so I can see how im runing and maybe replacing the Idle air control module to as well because when its cold now it reves up to 3k and drops to about 1,800 and just bounces till its warmed up.
