im thinking of painting my hood red or bronze?

Why would you even paint your hood a different color from your car? Would it make you so JDM like everyone else?
Have you ever seen that rust look that some people do? It’s not really my style, but it’s pretty interesting.

I’m just saying, why paint your hood a different color? I have nothing against the rusted hood. Or matter of fact why don’t you just paint your G2 yellow with a black hood, if your going with different style. It’s basically the same thing. It’s only my .2 cent. But it’s your car and own money do whatever you like.

You mean you haven’t noticed. Almost everything so called " jdm" being done to these hondas, toyotas, mazdas and what not started in the euro scene. The super low stance with wide big lipped wheels strectching the tired, VW. Roof racks, been huge with older BMW and VWs. The rusted thing like stated is from way back on the bugs and buses.

Not too slight your ideas, but it might be cheaper just to go with a carbon fiber hood instead of buying paint and clearcoat. It’ll save yourself some labor, too.
It will look a lot better IMHO and will make your car look twice as clean.
Ur gonna make ur car look like u crashed it then bought a hood from the junkyard n didn’t bother with painting it.

after some deep research, i actually found out that VWs were not the first car scene to have a “rat style”
apparently it started with hotrods, how shocking.
there are some very chopped up oldskool coupes with BIG power rolling on skinny tires with rockabilly kids not too far away.

i think a painted hood would look decent i feel like it would look even better if you painted the hatch too .
