Hello, my name is Joe. I’m new here, but I’ve browsed quite a bit in the past. I’ve been into Hondas for about 11 years now, but have been out of the ‘scene’ for the past 4 years or so.
I just picked up this 92 GS about two weeks ago. I guess some old lady owned and recently traded it in. It’s an automatic, which wasn’t my first choice, but once I found this I decided it was worth the compromise. I’ve got several upgrades planned that will happen over the next several years. I’m not in a hurry as money is tight and it really doesn’t NEED anything right now.
Here are a few pics. Sorry, they aren’t the best… I’ll try and get some better ones soon.
looks good… i hope you dont plan on ricing it out with all that stance garbage and a bunch of generic ebay parts.[/QUOTE]
No slammed/stanced or eBay specials for me, sir. First thing I’m doing is installing a dc header along with my hks sport exhaust I’m having modified to fit.
The rest of my plans, in no particular order are:
1 piece headlights
Hardrace bushings
Koni/GC
Manual conversion
Jdp lip
Legend brakes
Braided lines
Enkei rpf1’s
More will be added along the way, but overall I want to keep it pretty simple.
Eventually I’ll probably delete abs, cruise and a/c, but for now it all works perfectly. I’m debating doing a full tuck later, too
Is that milage real? and dude you have such a clean teg to start off with mine was decent i have a 90 automatic in black, i need a manual swap bad too! Look forward to seeing what you do with this, good luck!
As far as I know, it’s real. The overall condition, including: original paint not faded, spotless carpet/ interior, trim in excellent condition, and a pretty clean and untouched engine bay all lead me to believe it’s legit. I also have a carfax, for what it’s worth. The fact that it’s in this condition after 22 years in Cleveland, Ohio also has me thinking it’s true.
Thanks guys, can anyone confirm for me that these are DA pedals? The pedals have SH stamped under the rubber covers, but I’m thinking Crx’s and 4th gen hatches are marked the same?
I promise I’ll only make it better it truthfully isn’t nice enough that it would be worth leaving untouched. It’s seen 22 Cleveland winters, which isn’t easy on our cars…
I’ve read that the LSS had painted trim like GS-R’s, which mine does not have. I’ve also read, but can’t verify, that LSS’s were made on odd years 91 + 93, which sounds odd to me. Also, did 92-93’s have trim emblems? I don’t remember my old 92 GS having one, but I can’t find any pics of it
93IntegraGS, I see power door locks in one of the pictures which indicates that it is a GS trim. Also, in one of the pictures above I can see that there is a little partion of the ABS light on the cluster which is a dead give away for a GS trim.
black&tan92, I know that the 91 models did have an LS-S with a tan and grey 2 tone interior. I have only seen the 91 LS-S come in white and black exteriors. The 92/93 LS-S came in multiple exterior colors such as white, black, and the dark hunter green (I am unsure of the official name). The trim around the body was painted to match the color of the car like the GS-R. All other tims had the black trim around the car. Also, the LS-S came with the leather package most of the time. Outside of the leather and the trim being painted the same, I am unsure of anything else that they may have come standaard on the LS-S.
As far as the emblems, I have seen some 92/93 GS models with the emblems on them. I haven’t seen the LS, LS-S, or RS models with the emblems. My first DA was a 92 GS and I had an emblem on it. The emblem would go where the GS-R emblem goes which on the filler panel above the rear bumper. If you are wanting to install that on there, I can give you the diagram and measurements to install it appropriately.
Great snag by the way. This is lowest mileage DA that I have ever seen. Take good care of it. Also, I would recommend a few things. Try to track down a tan armrest and having it covered in tan leather. That would be a great addition. If you do, I have the directions from Acura of how to install it and would gladly email you a copy. Take care of those stock floor mats also. They no longer manufacture them at Acura. Invest in the Factory Service Manual for the 92/93 Integra as well as the 92/93 Electrical troubleshooting Manual. I have the set for my GS-R and they have proven handy many times.

Yeah those are the same pedals i put in mine when i did my swap, took them out of a da at the junk yard and put them in mine, it’s a bizzy swapping the pedals so good luck, i ended up just taking my whole dash out to swap it.
Easy way to confirm which model you have:
Here’s the Vehicle Identification Numbers from the 92 and 93 Integra Service Manuals. This includes US and CDN models.
Example VIN
JH4DB2381NS000001
Seperate the VIN like this
JH4 DB2 3 8 1 N S 000001
JH4 = Manufacturer, Make and Type of Vehicle
JH4: HONDA MOTOR CO. LTD. JAPAN. ACURA Passenger Car
DB2 = Body Type
DA9: INTEGRA 3D-Hatchback 1800
DB1: INTEGRA 4D-Sedan 1800
DB2: INTEGRA 3D-Hatchback 1700
3 = Door and Transmission Type
3: 3-door 5-speed Manual
4: 3-door 4-speed Automatic
5: 4-door 5-speed Manual
6: 4-door 4-speed Automatic
93 had emblem on lower right. You can always check your VIN to tell you exactly what you have. the codes are hear somewhere on this site. It seems to be a GS with leather and pin-stripe options. But over the years it has become quite clear that you could have ordered an RS and upgrade a bunch of stuff. Some people did this since they wanted all the goodies but no AC for example. Seems silly but dealers were willing to do it.
Pin stripe can come on any model if the original buyer wanted it, it’s not a ls-s option. His car is a gs, if it was a ls-s it would have painted trim, mirrors and front lip
