bleeding brakes...... last bleeder valve is stuck/stripped

just got almost done bleeding my brake system since the car was sitting. all went fine until i got to the last wheel
drivers front.

the screw wont move even after soaking in wd-40. my adapter for my ratchet broke. i tried a vise grip and its making the screw worse.

anyone knows any tricks?

Heat

tried no luck

PB Blaster works much better than WD40!

hate to say it, but you may need to replace the caliper… though from what I recall stock DA calipers are relatively inexpensive. All this for a bleeder screw :tapfing:

i will try to crack the brake line hose to finish bleeding the system. hopefully this will work so i can move my car.

People don’t listen

Uhm, no that will not work. You are guaranteed to get air in your caliper that way! The brake line is at the bottom of the caliper and the bleeder is at the top. If you “crack the brake line” the fluid will drain out of the caliper and the hose and pull in air in the process, simple physics.

Well if you need to move your car for the meantime, you can also go this route- “key-on ignition then, hey friend/family member get in the car and help me steer; I’ll push the car to where I need to move it- use the handbrake to stop the car”

my driveway is on a hill man. car will have to be moved almost everyday due to yard work.
