HMMM, you implying Glynn has a pussy for not driving the own-all manual transmission TL?

I agree it’s not as good, but still.

I used to envy the Subie crowd. But since I put this bad boy on my 92 Escort, they evny ME! When I pull into a tim hortons, they all approach my car and when they look past my rust clad bucket, they notice something different, it’s AWD! They then invite me out for sushi, and some bubble tea (which is straight across the parking lot). I then back into my regular spot at timmies, and wait for the next crowd of AWD maniacs![/QUOTE]

:rofl:

:rofl::rofl:

So funny LOL…

:Updates:

last week I got the tein pulled apart and as of yesterday they are on there way to west coast for a good old overhaul.

fingers crossed I dont have to refinance my house to pay for it :smiley:

and first off, I would like to say sorry Robi, I know I said “I would wait for you to do this” but I couldnt wait :smiley: however, ill be waiting for you to help me with it from here on out :wink:

Got the fuel tank down last night. this one apears to be in a lot better condition then my spare tank. slight amount of surface rusting.

Speaking of Blox control arms, no pictures at the moment but looks like ill be looking into a new set. the bushing are already torn. trying to decide if I want to run anther set of aftermarket arms or pick up some OEM’s and use the ES bushings that I already have.

Plan is to have the fuel pump back into the car before my teins get back and hopefull start to put some work in on some of the fabrication stuff:cross:

I would go for the oem with es bushings. It’s the easiest to replace once the bushings go bad.

not to mention that they last longer then the bushings they put in those aftermarket lca’s.

Thanks for the suggestions guys thats the route im leaning towards at this moment:up:

lets seee something happen!

HAHAHA yeah!!!

put in lots of work this last week, just no time to upload and post them right now :wink:

I’m rocking OEM control arms with ES bushings. Couldn’t be any easier to swap out if you needed it to be. I swear by it. Get some new OEM arms, or find some used at a JY. If you get used, just clean them up, spray them with some black paint (or be a baller and powdercoat them) and install.

Dammit, Glynn, we need to hang out sometime next week or something. I’m getting the tuner bug again, so maybe I’ll help with your teggy. :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks jake, if its baller to powder coat. then call me Baller Son :up:

HAHA, come by for a little bit tomorow man. robis gonna come over and try to put some work in. sadly right now build is on hold untill I get some stuff I ordered. :slight_smile:

:::Updates:::

well its been a long couple of weeks for me but I have still managed to put in some work.

almost finished with the gas tank/fuel pump job. picked up some raychem fuel resistant heat shrink tubing for the wiring and am awaiting a new pickup sock which ill have tomorrow to finalize it so it can be bolted back into the tank

To finish it all up. Im going to paint the top of the fuel tank with some POR15. im still not conviced it will get rid of the rust, but a lot of people swear by it so ill give it a try…

Also disassembled my calipers and got the pistons and hardware all cleaned up and calipers are ready to go in for powder coating. Im just waiting to find a set of rlca’s to take in along with them.

Pistons Before

Pistons After

all my hardware cleaned up.

Also been amassing some more parts :smiley:

Nice updates, brakes are gonna look great once they are all finished. What’s in the honda bags?

let see, theres a inner and outer T/B cover and engine seal, caliper rebuild kits, the one stearing rack boot I decided not to replace while I did the rack(which is now torn :roll: ), some varius crush washer and the cream de la resistance. fuel tank straps :slight_smile:

im realy looking forward to the brakes too, but those might be a while out. still need rotors, pads and more importantly wheels :smiley:

Shit man, tomorrow and the weekend both are really booked. Sorry. =/ I’ll figure something out.

no worries mang:up:

:::Update:::

put in some more work in the garage this weekend.

Finsihed up the fuel pump install with new fuel sock and got the pump into the tank and bolted down.

also got the tierod pulled off so I could remove the torn boot. still need to get the new one on.

Also got 1 of my por15 starter kits to paint up the gas tank in :rockon:

lastly, herd back from Ryan at Tein. the struts are going to be receiving new piston rods and some minor other repairs. only one was realy bad, but I figured it would be best to replace them all and that way. he will warrenty them aswell. still waiting on word of them being finished but I figgure it will be atleast a couple weeks before they ship them back to me.

I will say, they need to hurry up. I really have been itching to take her for a drive since its spring time again :slight_smile:

:::Update:::

Got the Tierod boot replaced and back together.

and some pics of the rust im dealing with on the tank…

Ive wire wheeled the tank but no pics of it just yet.

Going to buy a bandsaw, dual regulator for back purging, and some SS and mild filler rod this week brotha. Which is pretty much the rest of what I need to start some fabbin! LONG overdue, my bad, lol. As soon as we’re done with the Prelude From Hell, somebody will be getting some boost parts welded up! :slight_smile: It’s getting closer and closer to making that decision about the Fluidyne son

:excite:

My Man… that’s possibly the best news I’ve gotten all week:up:

I still have no clue as to what to do about the radiator right now. I want to run a custom one. But funds have been drying up and I’ve got to make sure I have tuning monies in the off chance I decide to let servion tune it for me:

:::UPDATES:::
I pulled all the rubber pads of the tank last night. Took pics but have yet to upload them. Will try to get it done tonight, also gonna try and prep the tank today for painting. Just got to get out of this dam dentist chair, lol

fuckin gangster…i love your build thread.

Can’t wait to see this build!!! :smiley:

I’m beginning to think you’re doing a nuts and bolts restoration to this DA. You ever going to get back to driving it so we can hang? :stuck_out_tongue:
