:::updates:::
Over the week ive managed to get the T/B covers on and resolve my issue with Tein. Im not going to go into any details on that. im not to sure how I fell about the whole thing but as it stands it has been rectified and the pieces I need are on there way for me to get the struts back on the carā¦
no pics uploaded at the moment but you know they will be all in due time. headed out to the garage right now to get the rears together and raise the ride higth on all four shock bodies about a 1/4 inch.
pics to follow laterā¦
biting nails in waiting
well chew no moreā¦
Love those little red and white labels
going back togetherā¦
And of course as I was putting it back together, I have problems with this guy, Again!
thankfully I have a lot a spare parts and it only required removing the vavle cover again and swaping studs and another cap nut.
only took 4 weeks to get these bad boys back. all four struts received new piston rod and seal.
I opted out of re-valving as that would of required a stiffer spring to take full advantage it. an unnecessary cost since im very happy with my current setup.
rears are together and ready to go on. which should happen at some point today
Teins looking great. Canāt wait to see it all back together. You definitely need to rejoin the āIām actually DRIVING my DA clubā again, lol. My phone should be getting turned back on, soon. Iāll hit you up when it does.
Good stuff. I love those pretty little red/white bags, too. Its like Christmas morning every time I get them in the mail Did you send out those pigtails? FORTUNATELY, I havenāt had any wires pop out since the last time I reset the ECU, but Iād rather be safe than sorry.

Not to nit-pick⦠But that timing belt looks a little, wornā¦
Nice! Have fun buddy, good luck!
But the stripes make a fashion statement!
That face is freaky. I donāt like it.
That face is indeed a bit freakyā¦
Iām all for fashion homie. But I donāt think its very fashionable to have 0 compression across the board after a belt incident. (damnit, now Iām using it!)
/end ball-busting.
clean mang
Hey where you get your covers and how much that set you back if you donāt mind me asking? I have a B16 that I need to order ALL of them for.
InLineFour has them, or thereās always Honda
Ya just curious exactly where though cause in my experience different dealers have different prices is all.
they were about $15 apiece. Afterprice matching most of the online dealers. Iāve come to find that I usualy get the best deal from hondapartsunlimited and I probly do get most of my parts threw them. That sometimes is not always the case though which is why I just price match anytime I need some thing and order threw the dealer thatās the cheapest
Timing belt and water pump donāt have more than 6-7k on them. Its been hard millage but still pretty low I would think. Any one else care to chime in on that??
If thatās the case I would believe you to be fine. Just wanted to make sure you werenāt gonna throw a 50k+ belt on there. I assumed you wouldnāt do that, as I said, was more busting your chops than anything.
Finished up the rear yesterday and got a gallon of gas in her tonight to check for leak in the fuel line. then I realized I need an ECU to start it up.:bored: so I had to leave it at that for the night. as soon as I confirm there are no leaks I can put the cover back over the fuel lines and put the wheels on. front perches should be here tomorrow as well so I can get the front end back together and maybe even back on the ground for a little bit of some Friday night cruising
Got a couple good pics of my LCA bushings. I need to move finding a set of OEM replacements up on my priorityās list I suppose. Also came to find a lot of play in the rear swaybar mounting bushings so ill be ordering a set of those very soon aswell.
