im actually going to buy it used off of curtis.
:::Updates:::
Finally got some time to work on the teggy again, after trying and having no luck using a small screw driver to try and install the calliper piston into the dust boot, which resulted in nothing but a ripped boot. I decided to try out the Wes Vann method of installing the pistons. Why did I not just do this in the first place. worked so well I had all 3 other pistons installed into the calipers within the hour. for those of you not familiar with such method, heres a linkā¦

on with the pics, keep in mind these are not necessarily in order of the work I did:)
my boot spreading tool
piston going into place
Looking Good!
Last thing to be moded in order to get them to fit with out rubbing was to trim down the brake pad shims.
Untrimmed VS trimmed
Both left and right sides ready for installation.
I actually just got word today the new seal kit I oreded last week to replace the seal I ripped will ship today and be here by friday. I should be able to officaly finish rebuilding them by next monday and possible be ready to do the brake overhaul in the middle of sept after my High plains excursion(which also was pushed back a couple of week do to the matter of fact that I cant read and initialy try to scedule my track day on what was a motorcycles only day:bored:)
Looking great man! As always, your work is spot on. I also saw your post about track day on the 9th, I will shoot to have the car done by then. But as life happens, it probably wonāt be done by then. Regardless, I will be there as a support crew.
Fixed
this is a long time project man. good for you bro.
Yeah, yeah, weāre all impressed.
You never do call on my help⦠Iām pretty open in evenings except on Tuesdays. Gots me that job at the emissions place in Longmont. My babyās still running strong. (Donāt ask me how, sheās going through coolant and smokes like a motherfucker on startup sometimes.)
We need to trade some work here soon. Next paycheck (Sept 2), I plan to lay down some money for an engine. B20z, B18c, whichever I find closer/cheaper. If anything, Iāll be calling up HMO and buying their B20z.
You, on the other hand, will be needing help with those massive brakes. :excite:
'Tis the season to be moddingā¦
^ you mean b20b. b20z is usdm.
Indeed. Sorry, foggy mind after work yesterday.
Low comp B20B with P8R head is available now from Hmotors for less than 700 not including shipping. Wow, what a deal!
Yeah, just noticed that yesterday. Why the change in price? Not complaining, mind you, the PR8 head is awesome and thatās the best price Iāve seen, but yeah.
Glynn, what happened to you, man? I need to swing by and come see you sometime, but Iāve been working too much. Iāll try to get a couple days off in a row and perhaps with the proper tools will be all set for a quick swap. Tools Iāll need are a stand and a hoist (as well as some tips on the bitch pin, etc.)
I dunno what change in price you are talking about. Rabi paid extra for the PR8, I guess they have a solid supply to diferentiate pricing other than on the phone.
Glynn has been busy with life and work, just like the rest of us.
The bitch pin isn;t hard at all, people just make them out to be harder than they need to be. All you need is a 8mm punch or 1/4", and one of those clamp thingies which name escapes me at the moment. Or you can do what I did, and google it. You will find google is your friend when it comes to questions like these.
Good luck on the āquick swapā. I have never taken things out of my car and didnāt spend a couple hundred extra on unplanned things. On my wagon which needed a quick shock change, I ended up replacing inner and outer tie rod ends, ball joints, springs, tie rod boots, some dust covers, etc. Same with my teg each time I have taken it apart. I guarantee things will be the same for you.
Na, that was more a joke, I know heās busy. Was more hoping for an update on the 'lude from hell he was working on. I just need to get a free day and visit, lol.
As for the swap, Iām sure there are other things that need attended to, but I need to get the motor in. As for the change in price, it used to be one price for the 96-98, and another for the 99-00. They actually lowered their price on the PR8 head B20, because they were mistaken about all 99-00 being the PR8 head, which is what they thought and the price they set accordingly. That, at least is the rumor floating around on HT and other such places.
Iāll go ahead and dig this up for you so it is at the top when you decide to upload your GoPro track day videos. No thanks necessary
They never thought that ALL 99-00 have p8r heads. Some came with the head, others did not. I guarantee you there are 99-00 P8R headed B20ās as well as standard head B20ās. I saw one in Rabiās engine bay. Date stamped 2000, hi comp with the p8r head and he got it from Hmotors. Car pulls hard too. I like it so much, I am going to buy it this week.
whats up guys and girls, long time see, now that I have a new computer. I should be on more often with more timely updates.

Thank you. Swap will be in by the end of October, for sure. Need to get a few more parts, like a gasket kit and timing belt, etc. Might visit the honda dealer today to figure out what kind of cost Iāll get⦠Might buy some tools first.
Anyone down for a Sat. Meet? I wonāt be racing, but maybe we can all hang out in the afternoon. I work till 1.
Fantastic stuff Glynn. Thanks for the vids, wish I were there. Nice little collection of parts. Since your car is going to be down for the season you should just let me borrow that pumpkin mmkay?
I would go to Bandi with you but no car and school. Bah.

So you recommend what parts?
Timing belt, WP, IM gasket (mineās shot), exhaust gasket (mineās shot), and valve cover gasket? Then a useful valve lash adjustment and swap?
No worries, its Justin. Check out oregonracewaypark.com, for the track that is out my way. Never had the pleasure to drive high plains. Just second creek and peublo motorsports.
