See see! I told you I knew how to weld!
your car reminds me of mine. custom is the way to go! too bad we live way to far. would make some fun races and photos!
I guess this just my way to help other members, without actually helping LOL
I see your concern, so let me put you at ease on that. If you recall the oem mount actually has one bolt that comes up from the bottom and threads into the mount. it appears as if HaSport copied this idea. as you can see from the pic. on the bottom side of the mount there is a second threaded hole. thanks for looking out though
thanks unified. Just realized you posted before me :D
Oh I see, in the pic on page 74 it looked like it only had one hole lol, but now that you clarify that for me and show me the other side of it makes sense now that they would have it made like that. So the bolt does still go through the bottom like on the oem mount but it doesnāt come all the way up and through the tacked on nut on the mount. Thanks though, it did help by the way.
now lets work on your timing
My be one day well just have to meet half way All this custom work is in an effort to make it reliable. So a cross country cruise is really on my want to do list right now

Hey hey now Alan. Iām putting in work so you gotta lay off those jokes!
Valve cover looks good after the sanding though. Man it would have been awesome if we added a coolant reservoir to that design too, maybe Iāll have to make one for myself!
been following your thread for a long time nowā¦love seeing constant updates.
always nice when OG Ballas chime in. Aināt that right, Glynn?
Stuff looks great, man. I personally liked the catch can in the aluminum finish. But thatās just me. Still looks great, either way. Canāt wait to see this thing all finished up. Well, as āfinishedā as ANY ongoing project can be, anyway.
You never did text me the update pics the other day, fgt! I had to see them with everyone else.
I are teh sadness⦠(do you feel the emo vibe in here?)
Thank you Fellas
Thanks DAve. So how much would you sell me that car cover that you just picked up from Colin for??

You know it!!! just texted you that BTW the aluminum finish would of been nice but would of taken a lot of work to make it look nice and keep it looking that way. now I dont have to do much more then hit it spray cleaner and a hoseā¦
:::Updates:::
Just spent the last 3 hours finishing up the major porting work on the collector. now just gotta start sanding and polishing it up a little bitā¦
Sorry now pics at the moment
Any other pictures or insight on the valve cover baffle?
Love the updates man⦠keep em comin!
not too much to it. its just a strip of 1/8 inch aluminum that was just spot welded to the inside of the valve cover. its sole purpose is just to keep liquid oil from being slung off the cams and out of those ports, but too let the vapor by.
Finished painting the support and remounted it to the skin for the last time this morning.
You gonna have this beast ready for a track day May 11, 18, or 25th? Because Iām thinking Iāll call a meet, especially if I get my brake upgrade done by then.
Love to say yes to that, but realistically⦠No. Let me know when and where and Ill at least roll with someone else. I do have good news though, progress has been made!
Have been working on the cold side I/C piping all week and Mr P. came by and welded it up tonight.
making room for the piping.
Pipe Fabrication
clearance check
all welded up, still need to drill holes for the b.o.v. and other bungs but almost done.
finished up 2 of the 3 lines for the catch can. FYI. AN line are a PITFA!!!
Lastly. We did make some progress on the manifold.
Sadly, it was deemed there was not enough room to route piping on the #3 runner. after trying to re-position it to fix the issue. we decided that a new collector had to be made that will be shorter then this one. So back to square one on that.

Those catch can lines seem pretty taut man. Hopefully they donāt pull out of the fittings when your motor moves. Even more reason to install those hasports now
And I think we went a little behind square one since my bandsaw is down, lol
those AN fittings are suppose to hold a few hundred psi i wouldnāt be worried about them pulling out. especially with those engine mounts. looking good man!
Heās not installing the Hasports for a while though, thatās why I said that. Either way, the lines are already made, so weāll just address that if it becomes an issue.
Getting work done. Unst Unst Unst!! Canāt wait to finally see this sucker done.
Mini! Where the hell have you been? LOL. 25th of next month, HPR track day, if you can make it.
Glynn, itās coming together nicely. Good to see quality work being put in. Iāve got some work to do myself.
