BLKACK1's Build Thread

it’s always a little longer. always… :frowning:

lol, well I guess ill just have to settle with slight progress then

Today I got the rest of the rad support trimed and painted, the rad fan wired up and figgured out how im gonna transition from the stock vacuum tube into my new pushlock tube.

Heres a better pic of the hot pipe with couplers attached and boost only presure source.

little steps toward big progress… going to start fabricating new cooling fan mounts this week since it will now sit on the front side of the radiator.

if that’s a puller fan it won’t really work as a pusher. you can do that with flat blade fans but not curved blades. the curve of the blade is different for pushers compared to pullers.

Hey u left ur phone at my house. Figured this was the best place th reach u lol

I believe that most aftermarket fans allow for the whole fin assembly to be removed and flipped to accommodate this. I don’t know, personally, though. I have a Mishimoto slim fan and will be using it as a puller, like stock.

yeah but that only works with straight blades. the curve on the S blade is specific to puller or pusher. this is what a S blade pusher looks like. pay close attention to the blades you’ll notice what I am talking about.

Ahhhh, IT’s So good to be back! thanks for the info redtegra, I havent realy had a chance to look into this as ive had no computer at home and too busy at work to do so. aside from fliping the blade over. im going to try it and see the outcome…

Who Like Updates??

Spill the beans Glynn.:squint:

Dam wheres the love around here… wish I could Fares, just as I went to start up loading pics. I relized I left my camera at work :frowning:

How about a little teaser though.

Colin had a great idea and said I should just point it forward and throw a velocity stack on it

yes! defintely rock it like that!

Looks like you’re getting pretty close to being done, woot.

waits

i’m jealous of your full rad. i should have never went half rad. been overheating for the past 4 years like a baws!!

Mmmm Pepsi. Did yolu get your couch this morning? Bwahahahaha!

HAHAHA, no but i started shoping around for one for one  Being I got a day off finally that I would try to update you guys

I decided that because clearence was so tight on the radiator that the mounts had to go in. so since everything was off for welding, what better time.

the exaust be mocked up

one last trip to get final welds

got the exhaust back and painted and on the car with new poly hangers(the stock ones had to much strech with all the weight)

Got the Oil pan back with the exhaust so I painted it and got it on.

the came the IC and piping, got it all painted…

Now when we get to the fun stuff…

Grade 8 exhaust studs

Picked up a WG gasket and started to get to work.

Made up a drain line

Coming Together!

Finished the
catch can plumbing

Radiator hose and IC piping in, is starting to make this look like a whole car again

almost there!

Made up and intake. not exatly where I want it but should work pretty well…

MMmmmm! Pepsi… lol it should work for the time being.
The last piece of the puzzle is the resevoir so started mocking up on the only free spot in the engine bay. its currently off being welded up.

On top of all that, Ive made a couple of purchase. Found another member on here selling some interior pannels. BNIB oem door sil and rear filler piece. if your around man, thanks again

Also picked up a Nardi wheel for HB420, got it installed with modded horn connection.

And off Course with the good comes the bad… both the cat and strait pipe some how came out an inch too long so the are back for modification. on top of this. when I went for the intial start up and relzed my fpr crapped out on me and it wouldnt hold pressure. after swaping out for a stock on, its holding pressure but still wont start. which is what im about to go and figgure out. Im getting good spark so its time to check the wiring on my injectors and find out why im not getting any fuel.

Damn I’m so jealous!!!

These updates are great!!

[QUOTE=BLKACK1;2262803]thanks fellas:up:

well even though its been 12+ hours a day of work. ive been trying to find a little time to get out and work on old girl but how about I get you guys up to speed on this build

first off. while the car was away I ordered a set of sokie tech hood struts to get rid of that ugly hood prop rod. bolted up and works without a hitch

Nice addition. How much did this set you back? Any complications with the hood shutting and the struts getting in the way?
