My blower motor doesn’t work.
Not sure if it’s not plugged in or what.
Anyone have a pic of what the plug looks like?
Want to do this before I pull the thing out.
It is a 2pin plug, [probably white] with a blue/white lead and a blue/black lead, it is plugged up into the motor, it can be seen if you stick your head up under the pass side dash, the blue/white lead is 12V+, from main acc. fuse, [hot in run] in under dash fuse box.
Test the blue/white lead for power when ign. switch is in the run position, the blue/black lead is the motors ground, it comes from the “Blower Motor Resistor” pack, located above blower motor, [behind glove box] on the blower motor housing, [heater box].
Although it may just be an unplugged motor, [unlikely] it could also be a blown motor, a bad resistor pack, a defective control head or a wiring problem.
If there is power on the blue/white lead ground the blue/black lead to the chassis, shove a wire into the plug, [next to the blue/black lead] and ground the other end of the wire, [have ign. switch on].:whisper:94
not to thread jack but i dont want to start a new thread for the same topic. im having issues as well. im not getting power to the blower. i tried the ground thing and nothing. im only getting .023v. what can i check next? this is the only thing stopping me from driving it. cuz it wont pass va safety inspection…
Check your main acc. fuse in the under dash fuse box, under plastic clip, just to the right side of top row of fuses.:whisper:94
so i just got a chance to check, and the fuse wasnt even there. so i went to the parts car and grab it. now it works. even though it was an easy fix, thanks alot fcm. ive seen some other post of yours and you really know your wiring/electrical.
yup…fcm helped me with the same issue…only since that blower motor fuse was blown my radio wouldn’t turn on and fcm knew exzactly what to check!!
