blower motor replacement

So my blower motor hasnt been working so I changed the blower motor resistor pack. so then i hooked the wires up and they started to smoke because the blower motor is locked up. so to the question, how hard is it to replace the blower motor on the g2’s?

Not too hard, took me about two hours. It’s not like g3 integras. There’s a lilttle more you have to remove, due to the placement of the motor. You have to remove the passenger side kick panel and knee bolster and the side panel where the seat belt control unit is and the control unit disconnect the wire harness from it… Of course you have to remove the glove box aswell. My motor didn’t need to be replaced, soo much crap in it I cleaned it out and it was good to go.

yeh my motor is so rusted that its locked up, so i got a “new” motor and lower housing from the junkyard for 20 bucks, yeh def wasnt that hard to take out, just took a lil figuring out. now I just need a decent day so I can put it in my car. cant be driving around with foggy windows anymore lol

ive replaced mine before and it wasnt that bad. just like da_olskool said. few hours depending on how quick you are.

IIRC cant you pull the motor/fan assembly out the botom via 3 bolts. that way you dont have to pull the whole assembly.

i do think i dropped mine out the bottom. it was a while ago

yeh i just did it today, it was a damn cake walk, way easier than working on my mustang. yeh i just dropped the assemly after i took out the knee bar and such. took me about 2 hrs and that is working at a leisure pace, also fixed the top seal at the top of the box. feels damn good that i have a fan now so my window doesnt get fogged over and then frozen. ahh the lil things in life.

Im looking at the helms right now and you can just drop the motor and fan out of the casing from the bottom by unhooking the harness, drain hose and removing the 3 screws. now if there’s enough room to actually drop down and remove is still debatable and youll just have to try and see.

Glad to hear it came out with no problems:up:

I can’t take out my blower motor, I already took the 3 screws out, but still won’t come out cause i don’t have enough room.

My question is, what else do I have to out to be able to get the motor out?, I def need help asap since it’s the winter and my windows fog up quick

Move the ECU/ECM and cover plate, [under carpet on pass. side]. 94
