Blower very weak on "fresh air" setting

Hey all,

My heater/blower is having some weird issues, the motor and fan work great, as well as all of the dash controls for switching between fresh air and recirculate. (the lights on the buttons don’t work very well though)

Anyway, the issue I’m having is that the air coming out of the vents is not nearly the same volume with the vents set to ‘fresh air’. With it set to ‘recirculate’ the system blows air like crazy, as it should.

Any suggestions on what to look for? Is there a vent that gets plugged up or something?

Just as a side note, I currently don’t have a fender liner on the passenger’s side front wheel well, if that makes any difference.

I forget which way blows more air then the other but it is normal for that. All of my tegs did that

Recirculate will blow more volume than fresh air/vent settings…

All my cars have had a noticeable difference between the two.

^^ exactly, nothing is wrong with your fan. it suppose to do that.

Really? It’s a Huge difference between the two. Are there any inlet doors that can get plugged up with leaves and shit like that?

it is very noticeable when you do the switch. i dont think theres a inlet that got cover up by leafs. but im not 100% sure. long as you heat and a/c works you are good.
