Can anyone tell me why I keep blowing motors? First one spun a main bearing, second one threw rod number 3 through the block. The first one had 162k miles n it, replaced it with a 72k mile motor and it wasnt even in for 4k miles and blew up. I drive 62 miles t work and 62 miles back, plus lunch, so it was a total of a months time and it blew, I was driving easy wit the occasional fast accelerate to get into traffic. Maybe once a day. Anyone?
Well, if you lived out here on the west coast, it might of lasted say, three hours longer. I’ll lay the blame on East coast bias.
do you keep up on maintinance? i.e. oil, coolant levels, etc?
could have just gotten a couple bum motors in a row, who knows
if you bought the second motor from a private party then i would kinda wonder what they had done to it before you. Anything i have to replace i buy from importers because they at least give a 30 day warrenty
Monitor your oil level and condition religiously. I think spun bearings are caused by oil starvation or contaminated oil.
also a good company to buy from, bought my H22 from em almost 3 years ago, still running strong
