Hey there I was looking into Blox’s oil pressure gauge which runs somewhere around 60$ … From the looks of it (correct me if I’m wrong) you just unscrew the old oil pressure switch on the back and screw this one in?? Then run the wires to your gauge and mount in your choice of place???

no your ecu needs to monitor the oil psi more than you do, only thing is to share it by bolting a t fitting in the block and one side your switch and the other stock switch.
Don’t run a T-fitting off the block… I’ve seen so many be broken off inside the motor due to people not being careful.
^ Sooo sketchy, imo.
The only thing the factory pressure switch does is illuminate the Oil Light in the dash board. You can completely get rid of it if you wish. As long as you’re keeping an eye on the actual gauge reading, this renders the dummy-light redundant.
While some people like to keep the light functional, I opted to get rid of it.
Yes you can tap into that port in the block and run your gauge off that. Just make ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that you’re using the right adapter for the block… The threads are not a typical NPT thread. I believe you run a 1/8 BSP to 1/8 NPT fitting. But research the subject to be sure.
Ok thanks, so if it is not the same thread as my block there is an adaptor I can get to make it fit how can I check what the thread is if the package doesn’t tell me? My teacher is a master honda tech and did tell me I will be fine just unscrewing the old one and putting this one in place,
Can’t I just thread the sensor into an oil filter sandwich plate? Safer than risking stripping any threads on the block?
If you’re keeping the sensor, keep it in the stock location…
Then run your pressure gauge from the sandwich plate.
And, re-read what I told you about the threads… The Pressure Sensor is a BSP style thread. Most kits will be NPT threads. So buy the gauge/kit, as well as a BSP to NPT adapter. The adapter goes into the block… then the kit would thread into the adapter.
If you’re keeping the sensor in the OE location then there’s no need for the adapter. Just the sandwich plate and whatever fittings fro. That plate, to your gauge setup.
I think ill just keep the stock one, and run the sandwich adapter and the gauge off of there thanks!!
EDIT emailed blox, and they said my best route would be to install the gauge via sandwich adapter on the oil filter
