I want to get my my '91 DA painted but would like to keep it at a minimal. OK I will say it, CHEAP. I mean a want a good job done, but it does not have to be car show status. My DA is a daily. I just want it to look nice.
I have had quotes from $1300 to $3000. Is that what paint job are going for?
Does anyone know of a body shop around my area?

over where im at i got quoted 350 w/ doorjams and 25 more for rear plus 50 for any body work and thats just stage 1 stage two was 100 more
for QUALITY shop to do it yes it will come out to 1000+ and it doesnt have to be special paint… when i got my crx color changed i took it in STRIPPED DOWN and they still charged me 1300 but when i put it togetther it was a FLAWLESS PAINT JOB. but for what you want you could take it to like a ONEDAY paint or some shit but take it prepped (remove your mud guards, emblems, moldings) prior to taking it in and have the headlights and tails only on with 2 screws/ nuts each so u can remove them when you get there. you will surprized with the out come… we did that to the homies EG and it was damn clean… thats if u wanna refresh the same color so they dont have to do the jambs. but if your gonna do a color change… id say start saving.
Yes I even took it to MAACO for a quote and it was still at $1200. For the same color too. They said the price of paint is going up.
Is anyone else hearing that too?
Wish I could afford to get dings out and respray my DA, I love the Torino Red. Would like to get my moldings and mirrors done, too. Rattle can, here I come.
