like i posted before this car is a living nightmare is has giving me issues since i got it
but this time its different, here’s how it happened.

I was coming home from work and out of nowhere my car started to bogged out and choked and eventually died.
I re did the timing 3 times
changed the distributor
new map sensor
new o2 sensor
new spark plugs
new throttle body gasket
i been using the lucas injector cleaner for a month now
new tps sensor

now , since i changed the distributor it finally stays on and doesn’t struggle to stay on.
with the old §§§§§ i had to hold the key in until it finally stays on while struggling to stay on and now starts up
good i open the throttle for the first time and yea it gains rpms but once i let it idle at 750-1000 and open up the
throttle for the second time it just bogs out/chokes and it dies

any help or ideas could help thanks!!

p.s the car isn’t drivable

fuel filter?

Oh I forgot new fuel filter and there is fuel so many thing i did and forgot to mention Sorry lol

Fixed it was the iat sensor

Interesting… don’t really hear about those going out often.

Glad you got it sorted out!

I know man wierd but it fixed my problem all I had to do was take it out cleaned it with gasoline put back on and vuaalaa lol

i’m bout to ask a dumbass question…but what’s a IAT sensor? idle air something?

intake air temperature

oh, thanks.

well i just posted a thread like this… guess i should have read alittle ahead. but where is the IAT located in the engine bay?? because i now want to clean mine out and see if it helps

On the manifold, behind the injectors and fuel regulator can’t miss it

probably could if you dont know what it looks like lol
