hi i just installed some rc 270 injectors and my car runs like ****. sometimes it can’t idle and it stalls sometimes it idles but bounces like crazy. i’ve talked to rc and they said it might be a bad o2 sensor or a bad ecu. i’ve checked all my vacuum lines. did a compression check and got 175 all across. pulled the wires out one by one with the car running and they all made the idle a little worse. i’ve turned the fuel pressure to 39. also my car smells really bad. anyone got any ideas? thanks!
clogged cat? reset ecu?
has it been like this ever since you put the new injectors in?
what’s the smell like? i agree that it could be clogged cat…
it doesn’t have that rotten egg or sulfur smell can’t really explain the smell. sometimes when i step on the gas is bogs and the rpms don’t move either and you hear it popping from under the hood. could it be popping at the cat since it’s clogged? i’ve reset the ecu and still the same. i’ll check my cat later today when i get off work. any other ideas? thanks!
mine’s doin the same thing and i’ve been told to check everything …try the ecu and the distributor (if the tach’s jumpin around too), good luck and if you fix it let me know so that i can use your advice, and i’ll do the same
