Bolt size for front lip.

Hi all,

This might be a stupid question.

Can anyone tell me the bolt size and length of the bolts that hold up the stock front lip. And also how many would I need. Might as well replace all of it.

I’m going to install my JDP lip tomorrow and I think I’m missing some bolts and I wanted to pass by the hardware store today before I go home. I would pull one out to bring with me but I’m at work with no tools and no jack.

Thanks!!!

I am guessing, but most likily 8mmx1.25. This is one of the most common bolts on any Honda.

#29 Honda Part #> 90101-SA4-000 Size >> SCREW, TAPPING (4X12)

Hope that helps

^ That’s not 100% correct. The front lip uses a bunch of hardware to mount, look at the details listed on that page.

Front lip requires:

#29 90101-SA4-000 SCREW, TAPPING (4X12) Qty = 2
#48 90671-SB2-003 BOLT, FR. FENDER Qty = 11
#42 90305-SH3-000 NUT, AIR SPOILER CLIP Qty = 11

Front lip mounting hardware is one of those things that’s surprisingly expensive. OEM list price is about $90 for everything needed to mount the lip. The hardware is specific, so you’re not going to find suitable replacements at your local Home Depot. If you have all the #42’s you need then bring one to your local hardware store and you can buy bolts and that will work - not how it was designed at the factory, but with some extra attention to detail and being careful you can get it to work and still make the lip look like it fits OK. But the smarter move would be to hit up the junk yards or find someone parting out a car to get the OEM hardware.

Thanks guys for all your help.

Was able to put it on with the help of Mr. JDP himself. Pretty cool guy.

We went to the hardware store and got the bolts for it. John knew the all the sizes and stuff. It would of been hard to put on some of the bolt with the original ones because some of the clips have broken off from the bumper.
