Both my 91 and 90 GSs had the side supports that squeeze you on the sides, I loved that. My 93 RS I think has a seat out of a LS, its got the lower back support but who cares. It doesn’t help.
Helps me, so I’m who cares. I don’t really like to ride too leaned back. Try to sit slightly reclined from the “straight backed” posture. Matches my spine curvature.

I sit a bit reclined, my seat is back as far as I can handle because I have bad knees and I can’t sit to where they are bent or they hurt after a while. As long as I can reach 1, 3 and 5 then I’m good
