bouncing speedometer needle

The needle on my speedometer bounces while accelerating. Even when holding a constant speed it bounces. Anyone have a clue why?

the speedo cable plugs into the back of the tranny; check to see that it is in there tight.

TEGS TIPS! ENGINES! FIX BOUNCING TACH. That should do it, i didn’t think it would help me cus i had no power loss or bogging down when the tach jumped but i tried it anyway. It only cost me $2.89 for the dielectirc grease so if it doesn’t solve your problem you only wasted $2.89 anyway. If you have questions, IM me at Musicisair .

I have a bouncing speedometer not a bouncing tach. Thanks though anyways. I already read the TEG TIPS…

If your cable is properly connected and its still bouncing, try pulling the cable out of the sheath grease it up and put it back in. If that doesnt work or if you find the cable frayed when pulled out just replace the cable.
