You are correct, the brake light fuse is a 20A, fuse 37 - 20A, [hot at all times] in under hood fuse box.
You have a short, after the brake light switch, on the green/white brake wire, you will need to pull the drivers kick panel, find the plug for the rear harness, [it runs down drivers side of car, the plug will be around or plugged into the under dash fuse box] and unplug it, try another fuse, if fuse still blows problem is between switch and fuse box, [or plug], if fuse does not blow the problem is between fuse box, [or plug] and the brake lights.
Fallow the harness to the rear of the car inspecting it as you go, look for frayed or pinched wires, concentrate any place where car has been in an accident or where you have done any work.:whisper:94
