my brake lights are staying on when the headlights/ quarters are on. anyone know what could cause this? the breaklights work like they are supposed to when all the other lights are off.
Check your tail lights ground, when one circuit, [park/head lights] effect another circuit, [brake lights] it is almost always because of a grounding problem.
The grounding problem would be at the shared tail light grounds or a bad, [corroded] bulb socket.
The other possibility is a connection, [“short”] between the park light pos.(+) and the brake light pos.(+), however one symptom of that would be that the park lights would come on when you step on the brake, this may also happen with a grounding problem but hard to see as brake lights are brighter.:hmm:94
